Cathy Hughes
I would interview Cathy Hughes, Radio One chairperson and founder. Simply because she has overcame a lot of adversities in her professional career. Mrs. Hughes brought her first radio station in 1980 in Washington, DC. Radio One is the largest urban network in the country. Not only does Mr. Hughes own’s Radio One she owns TV One and Comcast now the largest TV station for African Americans. Ms. Hughes son Alfred has been a great help in helping build his mother empire and aspire to one day run it/ If I had a chance to sit down and talk with her these are some of the questions I would ask her. How has your day been, how was it starting off, what were some of the worst things you had to do to get in the industry, describe your best and worse day. Reading about Ms. Hughes she seems to be a very professional woman that knows what she wants but care and is equally concerned about community.

Con Agra Explosion
I was watching the television listen to WTVD's coverage of the explosions at the Con Agra site in Garner. How the explosions happened is still to be determine by the ATF. I was at home while watching the news, watched or 17 mins, sitting in my living room.

I read about the explosions in the News ans Observer this morning. I spent about 6 minutes reading it and I was drinking a cup of joe while reading it.

Blog Assignment DTV Transition
Digital television (DTV) is a new type of broadcasting technology that is transforming television as we now know it. By transmitting the information used to make a TV picture and sound as "data bits" (like a computer), a digital broadcaster can carry more information than is currently possible with analog broadcast technology. Digital technology allows the transmission of pictures with higher resolution for dramatically better picture and sound quality than currently available. DTV also allows the transmission of several TV programs at once - called "multicasting." DTV technology can also be used to provide interactive video and data services that are not possible with "analog" technology. An equally important, but often overlooked benefit of DTV is that it will free up scarce and valuable spectrum for public safety and new wireless services. This is possible because the modern technology of DTV is more efficient than analog TV technology, allowing for many new and critical uses of this very limited resource.

Obituary Assignment
Doing this projest to me was so so scary because I never ever wanted to think about my death. Although doing it gave me an oppurtunity to make my own future. I loved the fact that I was able to do that like picking my wife and family and career and really everything about my life. I must admit I went a little overboard but its my life. More important it made my think of what I wanted to do with my life and thats was the overall best part.

Meterologist From NBC-17
Wes Hohenstein the meterologist from NBC-17 was exciting to me because the fact that he makes his own weather reports but the funny thing is that he thinks he has control of the weather. I liked his story how he came to college wanting to be a doctor and ended up becoming a weather man. He has truly worked all over the country from early in the morning to late into the evening. I also dicussed to importance of taking internship for experience sake. Overall it was a good presentation.

Byron Pitts at TABJ
This what I got out of the speech that Byron Pitts gave at the TABJ. He was basically urging his fellow counterparts to support Obama while elluding to other African Americans that have made an impact in america.
He also encouraged the audience of professionals to hold on and keep the faith and to always be faithful.

My Inaguration Experience
It was so cold at the washington mall, I thought about just leaving and going back to my hotel but as I look around I saw men and women two and three and even four times my age weathering the cold brisk weatherso at that moment I knew I could bear it. When I saw our new president take the oath of office and after the bendiction by Rev. Lowry all I could say is "There is no secret to what God can do."

Reaction to the inauguration
I was at the inaguration on tuesday Jan 20, 2009. It was so so clod but I tell you it was worth all the long lines, cold weather and all those people. I was floored when Aretha Franklin sang.
