I See Black People

Cathy Hughes

I would interview Cathy Hughes, Radio One chairperson and founder. Simply because she has overcame a lot of adversities in her professional career. Mrs. Hughes brought her first radio station in 1980 in Washington, DC. Radio One is the largest urban network in the country. Not only does Mr. Hughes own’s Radio One she owns TV One and Comcast now the largest TV station for African Americans. Ms. Hughes son Alfred has been a great help in helping build his mother empire and aspire to one day run it/ If I had a chance to sit down and talk with her these are some of the questions I would ask her. How has your day been, how was it starting off, what were some of the worst things you had to do to get in the industry, describe your best and worse day. Reading about Ms. Hughes she seems to be a very professional woman that knows what she wants but care and is equally concerned about community.
